With Barack Obama's inauguration just around the corner, it may be too easy to forget that a little over forty years ago, it was preposterous to even imagine the United States with a black governor, let alone a black president. But here we are! Just hours away from "history in the making."
But today is about much more than Obama being sworn in as our first African-American president. Today is about remembering how one of history's greatest REVO-lutionaries strove with great passion, CONVICTION, hope, and fortitude to help bring about the equal rights that so many of us enjoy today.
