Dear friends, philanthropists, and Facebook loiterers,
I'd like to introduce you all to an awesome young lady by the name of Jeeness Macatangay (or as I like to call her, Jee-mac).
Last summer, Jee-mac's grandfather passed away from a severe form of cancer. And earlier this year, another one of her relatives was diagnosed with colon cancer.
Impassioned by these tragic events,
Jee-mac set out on a personal journey to raise $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. She is hoping to reach this $1,000 goal by June 12 and has already managed to collect $700 in donations! (an amazing feat when you consider she's a twenty-year-old nursing student working full-time.)
Inspired by Jee-mac's story,
We'd like to ask for your help. Whether you've got $10, $20, or even $500,000 hidden under your bed (whoa!), please offer what little you have to aid young Jee-mac's beautiful cause.
