America In Color

These pictures were taken between 1939-1943. Color photography has been in existant since the 1800s, however it wasn't until later that it was made mainstream by Kodak. The photographs are the property of the Library of Congress and were included in a 2006 exhibit Bound for Glory: America in Color. [Denverpost.com]
